Real Madrid hosted FC Barcelona for an all important La Liga, El-Clasico clash on Sunday, at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Los Blancos have been in great form after defeating Manchester City in the penalties of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and their arch rivals getting knocked out against Paris Saint-Germain after losing 1-4 at home. The home side started the game well and against the run of play the visitors scored the goal after Andreas Christensen breaking the deadlock in the 6 minutes of the game. Madrid scored the equaliser after Pau Cubarsi brought down Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior scoring from the spot. Jude Bellingham again stepping up at the last moment and winning it for Madrid in the 91st minute of the game.

Andriy Lunin-5

He was sluggish as he conceded two goals and could have conceded another one if the VAR have not ruled out the controversial goal from the corner.

Lucas Vazquez-9.5

The wing back was brilliant defensively and attackingly he joined the attack drawn one penalty and scored a goal when his team was trailing. He also provided with the assist to Belligham for the late winner for the side. 

Antonio Rudiger-7.5

The German was rock solid at the back as he did not give any space to Lewandowski to turn or score and led his defence with a brilliant leadership. 

Aurelien Tchoumeni-6.5

The French had a quite game with Rudiger beside him he marked Lewandowski well alongside his defensive partner and later was moved into the midfield area. 

Edurardo Camavinga-5

Camavinga had a tough time against Yamal as the winger made times difficult for the French footballer and almost conceded a penalty after he brought down the Barca winger in the edge of the box.  

Toni Kross-5

Played in a defensive role and had a tough time in the middle of the park as the visitors pressed and made way through the middle. 

Federico Valverde-7.5

The Uruguyan was sensational with the ball in the attacking third making the runs to create spaces for the side and however not able to meet the balls or take long range shots as well, overall was excellent in the middle of the park.

Luka Modric-6

Was brilliant in the first half made some good balls in the wings and covered lot more areas, and slowed down in the second giving out fouls for the opponents. 

Jude Bellingham- 6.5

Disappointing performance for the English man. He was never threatning in the attacking areas and lacked delivering the final balls. But scored the clutch goals as he scored in the 91st minute of the game.  

Rodrygo-6

The Brazilian had a good time in the wing against Cancelo as he made some good battles against the Portuguese full back creating problems for him. 

Vinicius Junior- 5

Not a good night for the winger however he converted the penalty but was well marked by Kounde in the areas.

Should have stopped all the three goals he conceded, committed early for all the goals and the penalty should have been saved after he gussed the right way. 

Jules Kounde-7

Kounde was excellent marking Vinicius as he did not let any space for the winger in the wings and 1v1 battles with the Brazilian. He was caught out of position while Bellingham scored the winner. 

Ronald Araujo- 6.5

Araujo was rock solid in the defence as he could not have much to do about the two goals that the side conceded. 

Pau Cubarsi-7

The youngstar had a good outing and showed good composure despite conceding the penalty he was always at the position during the attacks of Madrid. 

Joao Cancelo-4.5

Another poor outing for the left-back as he had tough times against Rodrygo, and Vazquez as both of his mistakes was capitalised by the home side. 

Ilkay Gundogan-5.5 

Gundogan controlled the tempo of the game, but was slugglish in the counter attacks of the Madrid. 

Frenkie de Jong-3.5

The Dutch midfielder was good in the midfield checking in with the loose balls and distributing them in the wider areas. He was taken off after he had a knock in a 50-50 challenge against Valverde and left the pitch in tears.  

Andreas Christensen- 6

The goal scorer was brilliant on the night as he gave the Blaugranes the lead in the 6th minute as he met with Raphinha's corner at the far post. But he made some silly mistakes in the middle of the park irrespective making the block for his mistake, but was taken ahead of the second half. 

Raphinha- 6

Was good down the wing but failed to deliver the final balls from the open plays but delivered two brilliant corners from one which was met by Christensen and the other one was disallowed after the flick of Yamal might have ended up but was not given as a goal. 

Robert Lewandowski- 5

The Polish captain have been off in the night not getting enough chances except for some headers, and was kept silent by Rudiger and Tchomeni. 

Lamine Yamal-9

The best player for the Blaugranes in the pitch he was quick and made difficult for Camavinga in the winning the 1v1 battles and went inside the box creating chances for his side.

The Spaniard created the second goal for the side and irrespective of that he was decent in the game.

He was good since coming on and gave lot more pressure on the Los Blancos midfield,he was poor defensively and especially could not track back during the counter of Madrid.

Not much of an impact he could make could not match the pace of the game, lost positions in the final third of the Madrid.

Was excellent in the midfield and attacking areas since he came on gave the lead back to the side, however will be disappointed after the loss.
