Here are the 3 reasons why Musiala did not feature for England in the senior team

3. Variety of choices

As per the report of the Athletic, Musiala felt it was only fitting to represent his birth nation. Though Musiala played and resided in the UK as a young boy, he was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and stayed there until he was seven years old. The young player had the option of representing England, Germany, or Nigeria on the international stage, the first two were of his own choice, and the third because of his father's nationality and he was permitted to play for Nigeria.

2. Germany was the right choice for him

Musiala had the opportunity to represent both England and Germany. He was in regular talks with FA and DFB to fix a final destination and after he got the call from the senior national team of Germany, he believed he made the right decision in his life. The nation may rue the missed opportunities for the young footballer.

1. Losing a place in academies in England

The creative midfielder played some eye-catching football at the U-15 level. He was then promoted to the U-17 and U-21. Musiala was part of Chelsea's famous Cobham academy, but suddenly he was lost in the shuffle among many other youngsters at Chelsea.
