Manchester United hosted Liverpool on Sunday at the Old Trafford. The game was end to end from the start with both sides looking to break the deadlock. Jürgen Klopp's side was sensational in the first half creating all the chances they could only score from the corner kick when Darwin flicked one ball towards Luis Diaz who scored with a scissor kick to break the deadlock for the game in the 23rd minute of the game.

The Reds had several chances to increase their lead in the first half but they failed to capitalize on their chances and André Onana made some goal-bound shots and was exceptional all the 90 minutes. However, the misses from the away team were costed as United started the second half excellently with their captain Bruno Fernandes scoring a goal from the halfway line to bring back the home side into the game.

The game was continuing end to end with both sides trying to take advantage. But it was Kobe Mainoo's sensational curler in the 67th minute that gave the Red Devils the lead, but a poor referee decision from Anthony Taylor when Harvey Elliott dived into the box and earned his side a penalty with Mohammad Salah making no mistake to score the equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.

Jurgen Klopp lashes out at United

After the match, Klopp was happy with how his boys played. However, he was brutal with his comments over United's crucial game that is scheduled on 11th May where they will face Arsenal at home. The German coach believes that Arsenal is in red-hot form and if the Red Devils play the same type of game against the Gunners then Mikel Arteta's side will win the match.

With the draw, Liverpool has lost their top place in the table though they are same point as Arsenal Arteta's side is ahead in goal difference. The title race has been quite intense this season with three clubs fighting for one trophy.
