Inter in the past decade have been one of the best sides in Europe and Italy as well. They have been absolutely sensational in the domestic circuit winning the trophy from 2005 to 2010. Under Jose Mourinho, in two seasons the team had the best of their runs as they won the treble in the 2009-10 season when they beat Bayern Munich in the final of the UEFA Champions League. After Mourinho left the club, the team saw a decline in performance.

In 2011 the management went under the changes of ownership and the very next season they failed to qualify for any European competitions as they finished 9th in the league table. They had some chaos after the qualification failures. But things changed the very next season the club got the qualification for the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. After being quiet for four seasons they got back their glory days in the 2019-20 season where they finished 2nd in the league.

Inter Milan: A resurgence story

In 2020-21 they went on to win the league under Antonio Conte, but the Italian left the club right after one season present coach Simone Inzaghi was appointed and the former Lazio striker finished second in his first season with the club with two points behind AC Milan and under him, the side also qualified for the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League as underdogs and lost in the hard-fought final to Manchester City.

In spite of the loss last season they have performed excellently in the current season, they are looking very dominant side to beat as the side has a unique record of never being relegated from the top flight of Italian football in its entire existence. They will try to wrap up the things and win the title with 5 games in hand.
