The Premier League 2024-25 season has started and we have seen some great matches featuring some of the big teams in the league. We saw Manchester United start with a win in the opening game against Fulham and the Reds also went on to win their first game against Ipswich team. Overall we are now very hyped as fans of the beautiful game to see which team will come out victorious in the long run. We all will be hoping for a cracking season once again and see where English Football end up.
The Liverpool game which was played against Ipswich was one of the games that caught everyone's attention. The Reds in the end did go on to win the game by the score of 2-0 with strikes from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah in the second half, but we did see some great plays from the team who is relatively new to the Premier League scene. Overall it was great to see the Reds win a game under their new manager Arne Slot in the opening game of the season.
Injury concerns in Liverpool?
Liverpool had signed some young defenders in the transfer market and one of them was Jarrel Quanshah who was in the starting eleven and was preferred ahead of Ibrahima Konate who has been part of the French Euro squad. It was very much a quiet first half of the match, and Quanshah and Van Dijk together were eventually doing a decent job. However, we saw some worrying scenes seeing Quanshah getting subbed at halftime and Konate entering the pitch. There was also a report that Quanshah came off due to some muscular issue in the match.
The injury concerns are the last thing the Reds would want going further into the new season and this incident may cause some big problems as well. We hope that these issues are not as serious for Arne and his boys going forward and they can continue winning and looking to have a good season going forward. Liverpool is still one of the most iconic teams in the league and we all will be wishing that they do not have any concerns like this in the future.
