Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola states that Liverpool is the favourite to win the Premier League title. This comes after Manchester City's match against Arsenal at Etihad Stadium ended in a draw. Earlier on that day Liverpool were facing Brighton at Anfield. The game saw Brighton taking the lead but Liverpool made a comeback and won the match by 2-1.

In the Premier League title race, Liverpool sits on top of the table with 67 points while second place Arsenal has 65 points. Only nine games left in this season, and the title race is heating up between Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

“Yes. Always who is first is favourites, the second is Arsenal and we are third,” Pep Guardiola said.

'It's not in our hands'- Pep Guardiola

When asked about Manchester City's chances to catch Liverpool Pep Guardiola stated, “It’s not in our hands.” “All we can do is think of Aston Villa [on Wednesday]. If you are top of the league – like we’ve been before – you are favourites.

“We prefer to win. We take the point. A tight game. I recognised my team, I’m so proud. They tried. Our intention was there. We’ll see what happens. We need to refresh our minds and legs before Aston Villa.”

This draw came as the first time Manchester City failed to score at home in 58 matches. Last season Manchester City defeated Arsenal by 4-1 but Mikel Arteta lauded his team for improvement and that they needed to win to be champions. Manchester City player Bernardo Silva played a full match and expressed that Arsenal changed their tactics for this game as Manchester City had only one shot on target against Arsenal. Manchester City has only four points from the last six games and faces Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League on 14th April.
