In an unexpected news, a former Premier League player was taken into custody last Wednesday on suspicion of raping a women in a hotel in Central London.

On accusations of r*ping a woman at a hotel in London, a former Premier League player was taken into custody. On October 9, police arrested the 24-year-old at the upscale Corinthia Hotel in Westminster's Whitehall Place.

The international football player, who is not allowed to be identified for security reasons, has been released on bond until an appearance in mid-December while police conduct additional investigations.  According to information obtained, the female complainant, who is thought to be an individual in her 20s, filed the alleged attack shortly after sunrise Wednesday morning at the five-star hotel's front desk. 

The Sun was informed by sources that she had met him at a bar in central London and returned to the hotel with him. The football player was taken into custody at the hotel and transferred to the Charing Cross police station after the lady said he attacked and sexually assaulted her.  Police questioned the man all day long and collected fingerprints, a mugshot, and a DNA sample.

Although CCTV footage is currently being examined, forensics is also looking into the £750-per-night room. He is known to deny rape. According to the publication, the athlete was born overseas and represented his nation in addition to playing for a number of English clubs. According to the source, he is a well-known Premier League player and that is the reason why the name has not been revealed to the media as of now.

An inside source spoke to the SUN about the case as they said, “She met the player in a bar and agreed to go back to his hotel, where he had booked into earlier. She claims he then attacked and raped her. The woman went to the front desk at the hotel and was said to have been very distressed. Police were called and officers arrived and arrested him at the hotel. He was then led out to the amazement of guests and staff.”
