Former Borussia Dortmund defender set to become assistant head coach to Nuri Sahin

Three coaches will work alongside Nuri Sahin, the new head coach of Borussia Dortmund. This was revealed on Thursday by the Bundesligist football player. The Champions League finalist's training staff will be completed starting on July 1 by Joao Tralhao, Ertugrul Arslan, and former professional Lukasz Piszczek. On June 30, Sven Bender and Sebastian Geppert, the former assistant trainers, will retire.

Lars Ricken said, "We have managed to put together a trio with Joao, Ertugrul, and Lukasz that brings many competencies and good ideas and will work well with Nuri. We are convinced that they, with their different strengths, will help us have a successful season."’

Sahin has already received assistance from Tralhao and Arslan while working as a trainer with Antalyaspor in the Turkish first league. Longtime Dortmund right-back Piszczek moved to LKS Goczalkowice-Zdrój in July 2021 to work as a player-trainer after leaving the Westfalen for his native Poland. Once it was confirmed that Sven Bender was leaving, Piszczek became his first choice.

I would have been very happy to continue working with Sven." 

Serhou Guirassy set to join Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund is about to sign Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart, defeating rivals like AC Milan and Arsenal in the process. Finally, after weeks of rumors, Serhou Guirassy is expected to join Borussia Dortmund. 

Thanks to a release provision in his contract, the 28-year-old will join the Black and Yellows from VfB Stuttgart reportedly a price tag of about 18 million euros. Numerous reports state that Guirassy has chosen to join BVB and accepted the club's offer. It will take a few minor technicalities to be resolved before the transfer is officially announced. However, Borussia Dortmund will manage to sign Guirassy, their top striker target.
