The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals 2nd leg were hosted on Tuesday night, with FC Barcelona facing Paris Saint-Germain at home, on the other side Borussia Dortmund held Atletico Madrid. Barca did not have the best of starts despite breaking the deadlock in the 12th minute of the game with Raphinha scoring, meeting the cross of Lamine Yamal. Ronald Araujo was sent off after he brought down Bradley Barcola on the edge of the penalty area.

PSG kept on piling the pressure as the second half began and Vitinha scored the 2nd of the match and made it 4-4 on aggregate. Dembele earned a foul after Joao Cancelo brought him down inside the area with Kylian Mbappe scoring from the spot.

PSG shocks Barca; Dortmund makes a comeback

The French winger scored late by making it 4-1 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate. There have been a lot of red cards in the game as Xavi was also shown a red after he took out his frustration near the sidelines. The referring was poor in the match after he did not consult the VAR with some of his major decisions. 

At the Signal Iduna Park Dortmund also made an amazing comeback, the game was end to end from the start with the home side scoring in the 34th minute with Julian Brandt breaking the deadlock. Five minutes later they scored again with Ian Maasten making it 2-0. In the second half of the game things turned around, after Mats Hummels’s own goal in the early stages. Atletico made some changes and piled on the pressure with Angel Correa scoring in the 64th minute to give them back the lead. But soon later the home side pounced back as they scored again two goals in the blink of an eye with Niclas Fullkrug making it 4-4 on aggregate soon in the 74th minute Marcel Sabitzer made it 5-4 on the night as the German side went through to the last four.
