Five-time Ballon d'Or winner footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo boasts a huge fan base globally. Renowned for his iconic celebration 'siu' the five-time Champions League winner is adored by his fans.

The 40-year-old striker is currently on national duty, representing Portugal in the UEFA Nations League 2025. Portugal faces Denmark in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Nation's League.

Before leaving for the international break, Saudi Pro League club, Al Nassr's star received a heartfelt gift from one of his fans. In a video that is going viral on social media, Cristiano Ronaldo was seen taking pictures with the painting and fan who drew him on a canvas. Ronaldo initially seemed to be in a hurry, stopped and thanked his fan for the wonderful painting.

Portugal faced a narrow defeat against a resilient Danish side in the first leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals. Manchester United's striker Rasmus Hojlund scored the only goal of the fixture in the 78th minute off a perfect assist from Erikson who missed a penalty in the first half. 

After scoring the winner, Rasmus Hojlund performed, his idol's celebration while Ronaldo was still on the pitch. In the post-match interview, Hojlund explained that his celebration had no intention of mocking Cristiano Ronaldo.

Following a disappointing loss, the 40-year-old striker took to his social media to lift the morale of his team who are set to face a rejuvenated Danish side on Sunday, March 23rd. Cristiano Ronaldo is not only in pursuit of accomplishing 1000 career goals but also appears hungry to add more titles to his name. With his current form and fitness, Ronaldo seems destined to have another shot at glory as international football rolls towards the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
