Coppa Italia 2023-24 Match Ratings: Juventus FC vs S.S. Lazio, Semi-final

Federico Chiesa opened the scoring in the early stages of the second half, as the Italian winger scored from a defense spilliting through ball from Andrea Cambiaso.

Juventus faced Lazio in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final. The two teams so far had a contrasting season with Juventus being on the top 3 while Lazio are placed 7th in the Serie A. 'The Old Lady' club has struggled in the season, they are in the competition for the next season UEFA Champions League. However they lost 1-0 when these two teams met last time in the domestic league. 

Federico Chiesa opened the scoring in the early stages of the second half, as the Italian winger scored from a defense spilliting through ball from Andrea Cambiaso. The second goal was scored by Dusan Vlahovic after he was left with open space.

Juventus FC 

Mattia Perin- 6.5

Perin did not face a single shot on goal. With the Lazio attack failed to keep a single shot on target to test Perin.  

Federico Gatti- 7.5 

Gatti had a good game despite been shown a yellow card in the first half. He was solid with his positioning in the three man defense of the home side. 

Gleison Bremer- 7.5

Bremer along with Danilo paired up well and gave valuable support to his captain to keep a clean sheet and take 2 goal advantage before the 2nd leg.  

Danilo- 8 

Danilo with all his experience displayed another good defensive match and kept a clean sheet for the side. 

Andrea Cambiaso- 9

The Italian full back had sensational game as he was equally supportive to the striking and defensive forces and creating the 1st goal for the side as well.

Weston McKennie- 7

The American midfielder had a good game, and deceived the opponents with his pace and calmly assisted for the 2nd goal.

Manuel Locatelli- 

Adrien Rabiot- 6.5

Rabiot was decent with his play. Especially with his defensive works as he made sure the second balls should not dropdown to the opponents 

Filip Kostic- 

Dusan Vlahovic- 8.5 

Vlahovic sealed the deal for the home side as he scored the second goal after he picked up a through ball from McKennie. 

Federico Chiesa- 8

Chiesa was the one who was initiating the chances in the first half and he started the second half where he left the first and scoring the first goal.

The defender did not have a good game in the first half and was replace soon in the second half. 

Alessio Romagnoli- 5.5 

Romangoli also had a decent game, as the experienced defender failed to stop the likes of Chiesa and Vlahovic. He left open space for the latter to score the 2nd goal of the game. 

Mario Gila- 4.5 

The left back had a tough time defending with the pace of Chiesa and failed to keep the winger away. 

Adam Marusic- 6.5 

Marusic had a fair game as he did do his attacking and defensive duties despite the loss of his side. 

Matteo Guendouzi- 4

Guendouzi failed to have the control of the midfield that led the counter attacks from the home side. 

Matia Vecino- 5.5 

Vecino also failed to deliver the box to box support to the team as the Juventus midfield did not let him pass or create any chances for the team. 

Mattia Zaccagni- N/A

Substitued early stages of the game. 

Felipe Anderson- 6.5

Anderson created some chances but he failed to make the breakthrough pass in the defensive third of the home side failing to open the scoring and he failed to have one shot on target.   

Luis Alberto- 7

Alberto had the best of chances from shooting outside the box and only getting blocked and the shots were away, but he also created some chances as the strikers failed to capitalise on the same. 

Ciro Immobile- 4.5

The Italian striker was off form as he was never been able to get the supply of the ball due to the two quality of the Juve centre backs and was kept silent. 

Substituitions 

Gustav Isaksen- 5.5 

Isaksen came in as early substitute for Mattia Zaccagni. But he also failed to creat chances for the side and all of his tries were being blocked in the defensive half before reaching the keeper.
