Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to secure a 2-1 UEFA champions League-win away to FC Barcelona at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Wednesday night. Ferran Torres put the hosts ahead inside the opening 19 minutes before Senny Mayulu levelled the score five minutes before the break. Just when it looked like the match was heading into a draw Gonçalo Ramos found the back of the net in the 90th-minute.

It was the reigning champions' third sucessive win over the La Liga giants in the Catalan capital and maintained its perfect start to the Champions League campaign, having thrashed Atalanta 4-0 in their opeing match.

Barcelona started brightly and nearly found the back of the net in the 13th-minute when Lamine Yamal played a brilliant through ball to pick the run of Torres. Though the Spaniard got past the advancing goalkeeper Locas Chevallier, Illia Zabarnyi made a goal-line clearance to keep the score 0-0.

Nevertheless, six minutes later, Torres slotted home from Marcus Rashford's assist. It was the 25-year-old's fifth goal from nine games for Blaugrana across all competitions this season. In response Achraf Hakimi tested Barca goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny with a brilliantly struck free-kick from the edge of the box.

PSG deservedly leved the score in the 38th-minute when Nuno Mendes made a darting run down the left chanel and set up Mayulu to fire home from inside the penalty area.

After the break Bradley Barcola's poweful strike was well kept out by Szczesny before Hakimi made a last-ditch block to deny Dani Olmo at the other end. Eight minutes from time, Lee Kang-In cut inside from the right, dribbled past two defenders and unleashed a left-footed curler only to be denied by the woodwork.

PSG finally got the breakthrough from a quick counter late on. Hakimi's perfectly weighted low cross was slotted home by substitute Ramos from close range.

"It was a close match, but we still believed in ourselves despite facing a lot of injuries. Those who played were top-notch," PSG defender Mendes told Canal Plus.

"Thats what we need, players who came in and help us when needed, playing our style of football. We showed our work at the top level. We know that this year it's going to be more difficult because everyone wants to beat us. We know that and we're focused. We always come to win," the 23-year-old added.
