Inter Miami 2025 Club World Cup

After defeating Columbus Crew to prevail in the MLS Supporters' Shield for the first time, Inter Miami is expected to make it to the Club World Cup. The 3-2 victory against Colombus during which Lionel Messi struck twice means Miami remains at the top of the league standings, and may take home the MLS Cup.

The host team, Inter Miami, is probably going to be confirmed, and their first game might be held at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. The MLS Cup doesn’t complete until December 7, providing no sense of clarity with the draw likely to take place earlier than the scheduled date. Some people also believe that taking the top league finisher over the MLS Cup champion is more equitable. It is anticipated that Inter Miami will confirm soon, possibly this month.

FIFA have given four berths to CONCACAF participants for the 2025 Club World Cup that is scheduled to be hosted in the United States and includes 32 teams for the very first time. The Seattle Sounders (2022 CONCACAF Champions League winners), Monterrey (2021 CONCACAF Champions League winners), León (2023 CONCACAF Champions League winners), and Pachuca (2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup winners) have already claimed those four spots.

Tata Martino's squad has already secured a postseason berth. As the Eastern Conference champions going into Round One, Inter Miami will take on the winner of a Wild Card game between the eighth- and ninth-seeded teams from the MLS in a best-of-three series. The initial match of the series and, if necessary, the third will be held in Miami.

Inter Miami is eager to compete in the upcoming Club World Cup as one of the teams. They were knocked out of the CONCACAF Champions League in March of this year, and they dropped the opening match point. Miami qualified for the Round of 16 after defeating Nashville 5-3 overall. However, the team's tournament debut was abruptly ended by a loss to Monterrey during the quarterfinals.
