If Jonathan Tah decides to move from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer window, he has been advised to think about how much playing time he will receive at Bayern and whether or not he would be a suitable match for the Bavarian giants.

The transfer saga finally saw some movement earlier this week when reports surfaced that Bayern Munich had made another transfer proposal to sign the 28-year-old center back.

Bayern Munich's most recent offer is reportedly €20 million ($21.7 million) in addition to €5 million ($5.43 million) in add-ons, according to a report in the soccer magazine Kicker. Bayern's initial offer, which was €18 million ($19.5 million) in addition to €2 million ($2.17 million) in add-ons, is now improved.

Tah's contract expires at the end of the current campaign, although Leverkusen is looking for about €30 million ($32.6 million) to clear the way for a transfer. In actuality, a price in that range will correspond with his present Transfermarkt rating.

Considering that Jonathan Tah may easily play out the rest of his contract and become a free agency at the completion of the season, the evaluation might come as a surprise to outsiders. In fact, a number of stories state that Tah has informed Leverkusen's decision-makers that he won't be signing a new deal with the team.

“He doesn’t like playing for Leverkusen” : Bayer Leverkusen Director of Sport

Stated differently, Leverkusen will not be able to obtain a high price for their veteran center-back after this summer. However, Bayer Leverkusen is also aware of the optics involved in letting go of a vital player from their unbeaten domestic double-winning campaign to their bitter rivals.

Bayer Leverkusen director of sport Simon Rolfes spoke about Jonathan Tah joining another team. He said that, “If the transfer window closed today, I wouldn’t have any worries starting the season with this squad. It isn’t like he doesn’t like playing for Leverkusen.”
