Toni Kroos played his last game in the German jersey. The 34-year-old had announced his retirement from internationals in the past but has returned to action just for Euro 2024. His comeback helped the home side to play good Football which they've been lacking in the last few years. Despite not winning the title, Kroos can be proud of what he achieved in his career.
The star player was sad as Germany lost to Spain 1-2 in the quarterfinals. However, he stuck by the fact that it was his last game as a German. None can forget his contribution to the tournament. He is one of the last players to play for Germany after being born in East Germany. Euro is the only cup that has eluded the elite trophy cabinet of the experienced one. But he seems to be fine with it.
In his career, Kroos played about 832 matches and scored 80 goals, most of which came as a midfielder. He played 114 matches for Germany and scored 17 goals.
