The long-awaited server stress test for Ubisoft’s XDefiant is set to start this weekend. After the test, players expect a solid launch date for the game after it faced multiple delays since last year due to various development issues. Originally, the game was to be released back in 2023.
This is also not the first time XDefiant will be available to players. The game previously had test runs, after which the players expected a release date by the end of March but were handed one last server stress test of 12 hours.
However, instead of the 12-hour server stress test, the game will run for the entire weekend from April 19 to 21 as 12 hours might not be enough to stress the servers. With so many delays, players had started losing hope that the game would ever see a full release. The new stress test is a great opportunity for them to try out the changes made in the game.
The Server Test Session will be available through the Ubisoft store on PC and PlayStation store of PlayStation devices. For Xbox, players need to check out the same on the Microsoft store. As per the official statement, the Test Session have a big X icon.

A new generation CoD?
XDefiant holds a striking resemblance to Call of Duty. That is because the game is developed by the original CoD MW games Mark Rubin, who is currently the executive producer for XDefiant.
Although it does have its differences. Players can select different classes with unique equipment, unlike CoD, where players can tactical equipment in their loadouts. Unlike Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s other popular esports IP, this game is much more fast-paced.
Earlier tests for XDefiant were very well-liked by the community especially those who got to play the game. It could also be the biggest reason the players have been waiting for the game. After all, everyone wants a CoD-like experience without spending $70 each year.
