The staff were advised to enroll themselves in the potential list of employees who could be called back during the 2026 enrollment cycle or get in touch with employment counsellors. As per CBC Canada, one of the former staff alleges that the company promised them project opportunities during the Summer, and later on used the lack of projects as a reason to terminate them.

Poor Reception of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

There have been several speculations behind WB’s decision for the reduction of workforce. Although, we are yet to get a confirmation from the company’s end on the same. Mostly, it is being speculated that the reason could be that there was prior confirmation on projects during the Summer which were cancelled and presently, there was not adequate requirements for the staff.

Also, the audiences are very skeptical of the project since they could see the project fall apart, beginning with Rocksteady. With Rocksteady announcing mass lay-offs in the beginning of the year, which came as a response to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league, there were many speculations on the future of the project. Now, after WB Games Montreal’s report of dismissal of employees, it can be concluded that the project can be in jeopardy.
