The most recent trailer for Warhammer 40k Space Marines 2 has now revealed the multiplayer modes players have been waiting for, with added PvP alongside the PvE co-op missions once again firing up the Warhammer fans.

Space Marines 2 is set to launch on September 9 and comes in three editions. Regardless of what players buy, they will be able to access these game modes. The PvE co-op mission, ‘Operations’ will pair three players in what seems to be a horde shooting mode with different tasks.

Players will get to choose from six different classes of Space Marine and upgrade them for customization. The PvP will be featuring 6v6 battles between the Ultramarines and Chaos Space Marines. There will initially be three game modes Annihilation, Seize Ground and Capture & Control.

If everything goes according to plan, the game could be one of the biggest releases in the Warhammer universe. The original game was also highly praised by players, but it mostly focused on the story with generic multiplayer and only a little customization option.

Space Marines 2 features vast customization

The upcoming sequel for Space Marines will feature Macragge’s Chosen DLC which will be available for all edition pre-orders while the Season pass will be available for the Gold and Ultra Edition, and will feature customization for both your Marines and weapons.

“You will also be able to customise your Space Marines, from helmet to greaves, with a wide selection of colours, heraldry decals, pauldrons, gauntlets, and more! The Season Pass will grant you even more cosmetics, while new content like missions, enemies, and weapons will be available through regular free updates,” the post reveals.

With all of these features combined and a live service-like model, the game seems to aim for a longer run with better replayability. The developers may add even more modes and co-op missions after the release.
