In a shocking turn of events, Faze Clan and G2 Esports have now lost their Quarterfinals matches against SAW and MOUZ. FaZe have already had a shaky few months, the team isn’t able to output their best, while MOUZ has seen a big improvement this year and has taken down G2 without any hitch.

SAW has displayed a dominating performance at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2024 since the group stage matches. The team took down G2 Esports and The MongolZ to secure a spot in the Playoff, even after losing out to NaVi.

The game against FaZe, however, wasn’t all that easy despite the team getting an early lead. SAW opened up by securing the first game as FaZe wasn’t ready for what was coming their way. Taking control of both CT and T sides, SAW swiftly ended the game in their favour.

FaZe stepped up their game in the following match with a great opening half. While SAW did manage to claw some rounds back, the game ultimately went in favour of FaZe thanks to Ropz and Broky giving them all to take the game into the decider.

The decider, however, was a bloodbath, with both teams not willing to give up and took the match into overtime where SAW finally prevailed. The team will now be facing Vitality in the semifinals.

MOUZ with a swift victory over G2 Esports

While FaZe did manage to put up a fight, G2 saw an absolute defeat at the hands of MOUZ. The best of three was cut short after MOUZ took both of the games, not giving their opponents a chance to recover. The opening match saw Jimpphat dominating the OGs.

On the side of G2 Esports, only m0NESY was able to pull his game together, the same went on for the second match as the team failed to back him up. MOUZ will now face NaVi for a payback match from Esports World Cup 2024 and a shot at the Grand Finals.
