Team SouL dethroned after Week 4 of BGIS The Grind

With Week 4 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) The Grind concluded, teams will now compete for the Rs 2 crore BGMI tournament. Revenant Esports have taken over Team Forever and SouL in terms of all-over points across the six matches played.

During the second and fourth week of The Grind, Revenant Esports secured the top spot in their respective groups. Week 2 saw the team score 41 points, while Week 4 saw the team go above and beyond with 75 points, shutting down its competitors.

Team Forever on the other hand was also very strong, with the team securing the top spot on the leaderboard during Week 2. The thyroid week however saw them miss the mark by a few points. Despite that, the team managed the second spot all over.

Team Soul surprised everyone by securing 70 points during the first week, a feat that no one thought could be broken until Revenant Esports did. The third week was when Team SouL stumbled and was only able to secure 23 points, losing a huge advantage against its opponents. Nevertheless, they still managed to stay in the top three.

Few of the fan favourites have recently seen multiple upsets. Team 8Bit and others like WSB Gaming and Team Tamilas have barely managed to secure a spot in the top 64 and qualify for the Round stages. As for the seeding, they will need to fight their way through more matches to stay in the tournament.

Multiple new faces in top brackets

People can be of the impression that the top brackets would be dominated by seasoned teams. However, that was not the case and several newcomers have also managed to secure their spot. Teams like ESCN and Tense are qualifying directly to Round 4 qualifiers while PL Dominators, Raven Esports and Megastars Gaming are going to Round 3.
