ESL One Birmingham 2024 came to a close on April 28 with Team Falcons managing to show a dominating performance once again and bagging $300,000 after defeating BetBoom Team in the best of five grand finals.
Despite being fairly new to the esports scene, Team Falcons have changed to gain a lot of name in the gaming industry thanks to its superstar line-up consisting of some of the best players across multiple games. For Dota 2, their plan for a superstar team seems to be working quite well as they are currently considered one of the best in the scene.

Huge comeback after initial loss
The team suffered an early loss at the hands of Tundra Esports, however, they managed to take down other behemoths like Team Liquid and OG to once meet their nemesis in the lower bracket finals. This time, Tundra Esports did not get a chance to make a comeback and the Falcons managed to secure the grand finals spot.
Their streak continued with a dominating win over the BetBoom Team. The opening match started great for Falcons and while BetBoom did climb up to them slowly, it wasn’t enough. Malr1ne’s Razor wreaked havoc in the mid-lane.
Game 2, however, started heavily in favour of the BetBoom Team, but Skiter’s Sven and Malr1ne's Primal Beast saved the match by turning things around. The team slowly caught up with their opponents and ultimately got the upper hand and won the round.
With a brutal loss in the second round, any team would be in shambles. On the other side, confidence in the Falcons was as high as it could be. Round 3 saw BetBoom Team surrendering against Malr1ne’s Timbersaw supported by ATF’s Mars.
With this win, Team Falcons have once again managed to stand tall on the ESL Pro Tour leaderboard after securing a huge chunk of EPT Points with their win.
