T1 to face Hanwha Life Esports once again at LCK Spring 2024

Faker’s T1 will once again face Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) at the lower bracket final of LCK Spring 2024. The team suffered an unforeseen defeat at the upper bracket semifinals a few days back which left the community in shock.

The loss was reportedly due to not enough preparation opportunities as the entire team was a target of a massive DDoS attack which left them out of their main accounts. This was further confirmed by Faker, who said the team couldn’t even solo queue for a proper match, let alone scrim with other pros.

Players were provided with a new account with everything unlocked, however, the main issue was the MMR of these accounts which was still not high enough for a decent lobby. The result was a crushing 0-3 loss against HLE.

Is T1 back in form?

The team faced DDoS issue for almost a month, and it is hard to say as their latest match took place just a few days later. Although, they are considered the best team and fans believe they’ll be fine this time.

After their loss, the team matched with Dplus in the lower bracket semifinals and defeated them in a flawless run. The match was played as best of five, however, T1 ended the run for Dplus quite early with a dominating victory.

On the other side, HLE faced defeat against Gen.G Esports in the upper bracket finals and will now face T1 in the lower bracket finals. HLE took the first round, however, Gen.G turned the tides with three back-to-back rounds in the best of five.

The next match will take place on April 13 which will give some more time for T1 to prep for their fight. Similarly, HLE will also be aiming to replicate the same success as the previous match and move on to the grand finals to face Gen.G once again.
