Being unable to use what you paid for is annoying, especially for gaming services on a weekend, something that PlayStation users are currently experiencing. The PlayStation Network went down 12 hours ago and gamers have been unable to play their favourite games. This has left many people frustrated as it’s the weekend.
The issue started around 6 in the morning, leaving people unable to access games and other services, those that mostly required an internet connection. A few hours later, the PlayStation support account acknowledged the issue with PSN but didn’t state the reason why.
PS5 fans left frustrated with unknown PSN issue
Weekends are for relaxing and playing favourite video games, at least per the PS5 users, which sadly, many haven’t been able to do due to PSN issues. Some users report that they have been able to get in but the majority report the service is still down.
At the time of writing, there hasn’t been any update from PlayStation on how long the players may have to wait. Some expressed their frustration while others were left asking for updates.

Offline games left as the only option on PS5 for now
While all online services are affected, gamers with offline play are still running as usual, meaning PS5 users will have to make do with those games until the servers are fixed. This PSN downtime came as a great way to pick up one of the offline games from the backlog and finally finish it.
Although this would work out if there were any single-player games left. Recent games require an always online connection or follow the live service model and most gamers are playing these games.
