NIP, MongolZ and Complexity in lead after Day 1 at YaLLa Compass 2024

First Day for YaLLa Compass 2024 group stage concludes, and few teams have managed to maintain a nice winning streak, while some unfortunate ones are already under pressure after losing both of their first matches. Ninjas in Pyjamas, Complexity and The MongolZ have managed to secure all two matches the teams played. BetBoom Team also secured two matches but lost one against Furia Esports.

A single win for Ninjas in Pyjamas, The MongolZ and Complexity will put them into the Playoffs, however losses across all the remaining matches will lead to an elimination from the event.

Group A overview

ENCE who entered with two new additions in their roster lost two matches, another loss would have been elimination. Thankfully, the team managed to secure the match and see Day 2. Their next two matches are against Astralis and Heroic. Since the matches are best of one, it is currently hard to predict if they will survive on not, especially against Astralis.

Astralis saw initial success against Heroic but lost to Sashi Esport. The team will play three matches on Day 2. Heroic on the other hand have lost two matches. Even a single loss out of the three matches left will result in the team returning home.

Group B Overview

On the other side, Eternal Fire seems to be struggling among their peers with two loss against Complexity and Fnatic. Complexity saw some intense action and Eternal Fire made a big comeback to pull the game into overtime. Sadly, the overtime could only delay the loss. Their next matchup will be against the remaining teams, these are FURIA Esports, BIG and BetBoom Team.
