Popular Streamer for Carnival Gaming, Neyoo’s recent viral clip cussing a minor life has created a shockwave across the BGMI community. Even other popular streamers like Soul Mortal shared their opinion on the matter, asking everyone to have ‘common sense’ and ‘think before you speak’.

For those who are still not aware of the situation or do not want to hear something to ruin their mood, the short story is that the stream was browning chat rooms while coming across a minor who as why is he black. This triggered the 24-year-old, who started saying some horrible things.

The community members, Activists and regular people have come forward to voice their opinions on the matter and are even asking the police to take action against the individual. “I feel scared thinking what kind of influencers are impacting our younger generation. Such brain-dead idiots galore,” said social activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj.

Can there be legal action against Neyoo?

As per Section 66A in The Information Technology Act, 2000, any information that is grossly offensive or has a menacing character or any information which (the individual) knows to be false, but to cause annoyance, inconvenience, danger, or obstruction can be held liable.

However, Section 66A was struck down by the Supreme Court back in 2015 as it conflicted with the fundamental right to free speech and expression. This means that Neyoo cannot be held under Section 66A of the IT Act anymore. Despite that, multiple people have asked to report him to the authorities. But for those looking for a definitive answer to the situation, a legal advisor would be the best.

The parents of the kid should also be criticized in this case for letting a minor go across online chatrooms where they can meet other horrible people. However, there were many better ways Neyoo could have handled the situation as a responsible adult that influenced thousands.
