Recent leaks now point towards a complete rework for one of the initial characters in Apex Legends, Lifeline. She is one of the best support characters who over time have seen multiple buffs and nerfs to her abilities. However, this time around, she is set to get a full rework, which on paper sounds like a huge win for Lifeline players.

Ability changes

Combat Revive (Passive) - Combat Revive is one of her passive abilities that allows Lifeline to use her healing drone to fly for a very short amount, which can be used to cover a small distance to heal teammates. The duration can be increased with an in-game evo upgrade.

D.O.C heal drone (Tactical) - The healing drone of Lifeline will follow around teammates to heal and can be commanded to a specific teammate. Previously, if a player dropped the drone, everyone had to gather around to get heals. There is no information if the healing amount has been changed or not.

Shockbot 3000 (Ultimate) - The biggest change Lifeline is allegedly getting is the Shockbot 3000 super ability that will be replacing her care package. As a healer, Lifeline can bring air drops that contain heals shield batteries and other things.

However, it took time to land and put the team at a great disadvantage, giving their location to others. The Shockbot 3000 on the other hand is a construct that doesn’t allow other players to enter its radius, although bullets and grenades can pass through.

Bonus to all support legends

Alongside Lifeline, all support legends are also said to be getting the ability to heal teammates by simply throwing healing items to them. This comes as a huge plus as it will likely ensure a support character on the team who can heal their party who are in a pinch.

However, the popularity will depend on how it will work or if it will be an upgrade. If healing by throwing takes too long or is slower compared to self-healing, players might not opt for it. However, having no healing would be far worse.
