MOUZ knocked out of IEM Dallas while NaVi gets donked

It seems MOUZ will not be contending at the IEM Dallas 2024 any more as they faced their second defeat in the lower brackets from group stage matches. They are now one of the first few teams to exit the event, despite fans hoping more from the team considering their recent wins.

MOUZ team seems to be the victim of G2’s frustration, who recently lost against Team Vitality in a crushing defeat and while the matches weren’t a breeze, they did come out on top, defeating MOUZ in the best of three despite some great performance by Brollan and xertioN. The game is still on for MOUZ as they already have a spot at IEM Cologne and will get a chance for revenge.

The opening match saw both teams go toe-to-toe early on, but G2 Esports managed to defend against MOUZ in the second half. Their confidence, however, didn’t last long as MOUZ dominated their opponents on their own map despite G2 finding early success.

The final map saw a close match between the two. Kovač brothers shined on G2’s side and while Stewie2k didn’t have much impact on the final map, G2 managed to take some crucial rounds thanks to him and the team managed to secure the win.

NaVi sent to the lower brackets

Natus Vincere after their initial win matched against Team Spirit and the former Major winners were sent running to the lower brackets. The team lost both starting matches in the best of three as Team Spirit speedran through the upper bracket semifinals.

The matches weren’t specifically donk magic, but a team effort. All that mattered in the end was victory. The first match saw Team Spirit take the lead early on, with Magixx and sh1ro contributing the most to the team. NaVi failed to recover in the second half as they went on to lose back-to-back rounds.

The next map was NaVi’s pick, with many expecting the game to go decider. However, Spirit once again managed to one-up their opponents. This time, it was zont1x and donk combo that stopped NaVi in their path and made their way to the Playoffs.
