Moist Esports disbands Apex Legends roster amidst immigration issues

One of the most popular Apex Legends team from Moist Esports recently a heartbreaking setback a few weeks before the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Split One Playoffs all due to the US immigration department who refused to provide Visa to the players.

Two of the players in Moist Esports Apex roster are from Australia who are not getting entry in US to compete under the organization. In a recently video by one of the Co-Owner of Moist Esports, MoistCr1TiKaL explained how bad the situation got.

US immigration gives a silly reason

Despite multiple attempts, the players were denied Visa without any apparent reasoning. The only reasoning they got, is that the name of the organization makes it hard to be believed they are serious about esports.

“We have been working with the best lawyers in the industry, the best lawyers on this planet that specialize in this industry, and none of them can believe that we have been declined again,” Cr1TiKaL said in his video.

Even with top representatives from EA itself vouching for the team, the decision from the immigration office does not seem to falter, which is a shame considering the team was one of the best in the North American Apex Legends scene.

With the situation as of now, Moist Esports released the Apex Legends from their organization, so the players can get individual Visas and still make it to the country to compete in the tournament.

One of the release player, Wxltzy, also clarified the situation saying, “For everyone messaging me yes we have been released. No it was not Moists’ fault nor any of ours, this is just the only way we will be able to get into the US. Appreciate all the kind messages, and Moist Esports is still the greatest org on earth.”

Currently, there is no information if the players will be signed back to Moist Esports in near future. However, fans in the Apex Legends community are hoping for a better resolution soon.
