Following multiple upsets across the BGMS Opening Week and Survival Week, Mogo Esports have finally managed to secure their first chicken dinner. The team was struggling since the beginning of the tournament. In-fact, Mogo Esports have been struggling since the BGIS 2024 where they were among the bottom four teams alongside Carnival Gaming.

The Opening Week for BGMS saw this trend continue as the team barely managed to secure the League Week. Survival Week as also a huge upset for the team during the last three days as they were constantly returning to lobby early on.

Day 4 saw Mogo Esports back in form as the team managed to secure second spot in the opening game and went on to secure the following match. However, the grind has just started as the team had six more games to go.

While the team currently will be moving forward to the Playoffs, regardless of the rank, if the situation continues, they can face an early elimination. Although Day 4 have sparked some hope for the team as they managed to put a win on the board and while the performance was still a bit lacking, there’s plenty of time to improve.

Teams having hard time adjusting to BGMS Season 3 modifiers?

With the introduction of Powerplay and Bounty, it seems that many veteran teams like Team Soul and Team XSpark are having a tough time adjusting to the new format. These teams usually play slower and gear up to reach the endgame and then pick off finisher score one by one, but the new system is forcing them to take early fights.

While it is great for action early on, many teams are also at a disadvantage due to randomized loot. This forces teams to either play safe or risk it all. So far, the underdogs have been taking advantage of the system to secure some early points and others are left to struggle with position points.
