Smartphones to be replaced with AR glasses?

Hence, the real question lies, can smartphones completely be replaced? It has been seen that the shift from landlines to smartphones almost took a decade to come into action. Hence, there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration in order to make this shift from smartphones to smart glasses possible. Firstly, comfort needs to be taken into consideration since in smart glasses there are continuous AI tracking features and on-camera features. Secondly, the battery power is also limited for these new devices.

Zukerberg’s vision has already started to take shape with Meta’s Orion project. They have done an historic invention by introducing the first ever most advanced AI glasses. These are termed as futuristic glasses with holographic displays, projecting virtual images into the real world which helps to navigate via text or calls without using a cell phone. With the help of eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice command, Orion can connect effortlessly with digital content.

Meta has also recently collaborated with Ray-Ban, helping in expanding its target audience and bringing the smart-glasses to the people. Meta AI-driven technology is installed in the stylish Ray-Ban frames including voice control, cameras and speakers to the pack. This has become a historic development by Meta as it is a step forward to streamline AR wearables.
