'Kariye Rehost, kheliye Rehost' Fans react to network issues leading to a rematch at BGIS Grand Finals Day 2

The final match for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 saw an abrupt halt after some network issues that led to player rubber-banding and another host of issues. This prompted the organizers to re-host the entire match, as the majority of the teams were still in the game.

This is also not the first time the event saw interruption. The opening day for the Grand Finals saw some server issues during the second match where Carnival Gaming, Team Xspark and FS Esports were locked in a three-way showdown. However, since the match was at the end of the game, all teams were awarded 10 points each as compensation.

Team Tamilas who were knocked early on have received a much-needed second chance to further improve their standing after finally being able to secure a win in the match prior.  On the other hand, Team Xspark were not so lucky, as the reset button for the match was hit after the acquired seven finishes.

As expected, this prompted the fans to take the issue on social media and make fun of them. Many others also expressed their frustration, especially fans of Team Xspark who were all set for an incredible run and hopefully dethrone Global Esports from the top spot on the leaderboard.

It remains to be seen if the teams can make use of the second chance they got or will suffer the same fate. Furthermore, Team Xspark will also need to put in more effort this time around.
