Team Liquid and MOUZ have made their way to the Group A upper bracket finals after an intense opening day. MOUZ defeated TYLOO and FURIA Esports, while Team Liquid are having the time of their life after defeating HEROIC and G2 Esports.
Group A
After being unable to qualify for the PGL Major, the team have seen a huge improvement. Twistzz and NAF in particular stepped up for the team across all three games against G2. The question remains whether the team will be able to continue its Cinderella run at IEM Chengdu.
TYLOO and Lynn Vision also dropped to the lower bracket and faced each other, with TYLOO returning home. Lynn Vision now has a tough wall to crack in their next matchup against G2 Esports.

Group B
Matches for Group B went as expected. FaZe, Astralis and Virtus. pro moved forward to the upper bracket semifinals. However, Cloud9 saw the tables turned on by FlyQuest, who just entered the Counter-Strike scene.
Despite being new, FlyQuest features some popular names in the CS community, including dexter and aliStair, but on the contrary, Cloud9 features three former NaVi players and two others from Gambit.
The opening rounds were immensely in favour of Cloud9, scoring 6-1. After that, it was a slaughter, with FlyQuest taking 12 consecutive rounds in their huge comeback. The match was only best-of-one, which may have affected the Could9’s gameplay. However, the team has another chance to make it up to the Playoffs if they manage to win every round in the Group B lower bracket.
