The PlayStation 5 comes with a DualSense controller, one of the best controllers gamers can get their hands on. What is even more fun is that players can use their PS5 controllers with PC and PlayStation games now coming on PC with full DualSense support so players can have the best experience.

Two main ways someone can connect their PS5 controller to a PC. The first way is to use the provided USB cable and the second way is to connect via Bluetooth. Both methods are quite simple and will be explained below.

To connect your PS5 controller to a PC via the USB cable, players need to connect the USB-C cable to the PC and connect the other end to the top of your device. This is the best and fastest way to connect the controller to the PC. A huge advantage of a wired connection is that players will not get delayed in their inputs and don’t have to worry about power.

Connecting the PS5 controller via Bluetooth requires a few more steps -

  • Go to PC settings and open Bluetooth devices, if it’s not on, turn it on.
  • Next, click on Add device and select the Bluetooth option.
  • Hold the PS Share button on your PS5 controller until the logo blinks.
  • On your PC, you will see the “Wireless Controller” option, click on that to pair.

That’s it, your DualSense controller should now be connected to your PC. The biggest advantage of wireless connection is the ability to sit comfortably and play the games you want, although players need to worry about battery.

For wireless connectivity, your PC also need a Bluetooth support in the motherboard. Laptops usually have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but in some PCs, motherboards have options to leave them out.
