How to find and rescue Chewbacca in Fortnite x Star Wars crossover

Star Wars returns to Fortnite and players have received multiple new cosmetics for the crossover, alongside another set of quests to find and rescue everyone’s beloved Chewbacca. Completing the rescue will also provide players with limited-time rewards and a reliable ally.

Where to find Chewbacca?

In order to find your beloved Wookie, players will need to go towards one of the five Imperial Roadblocks with distress signals. This roadblock will be visible to everyone from the Battle Bus at the start of the game. Players can simply put a mark on the displayed location while on the Battle Bus.

After landing in the area, players will need to fight NPC Stormtroopers that will be guarding Chewbacca and defeat them in order to free him. An easy way to defeat the Stormtroopers is using Darth Vader’s Lightsaber to deflect their bullets.

Players also need to be aware of other players, as they might also be looking for the same objective and can try to spoil your plans. Once the area is clear, you can free Chewbacca, who will give you the Wookie Bowcaster as a reward.

The Wookie Bowcaster is a very powerful weapon in the hands of a capable player. Furthermore, for rescuing Chewbacca, he will become your ally for the entirety of the match as a support player, providing you cover fire and useful items.

Star Wars collection back in the shop

As part of the collaboration, several in-game cosmetics from the Star Wars universe are also available for purchase in the store. These include popular characters like Han Solo, Rey, Boba Fett, and Leia. Characters like Imperial Stormtrooper, Sith Trooper, and AWR Trooper are also available.

Other items include Emotes, harvesters and gliders on the same theme. Those who previously missed the items can get them now. Do remember that all of these items are purely cosmetics and do not affect the gameplay performance.
