Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 is set to release next year and since the announcement and trailer reveal, everyone has been speculating on the release date. Now the speculation window has got even smaller as the recent financial report by Take-Two Interactive has revealed that GTA 6 is set to release in Fall 2025.

Advertisment

“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI,” the press release said.

Further added, “We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.”

It seems this time, Rockstar Games are planning to stay true to their word regarding the release date considering GTA 5 has been out for a decade and has reportedly made enough throughout these years for a smooth development.

Since its release, the GTA 5 game has already sold over 200 million copies and is the second best-selling game in the world after Minecraft. Players have very high expectations from GTA 6 and are already calling it a game of the decade. Rockstar also already knows what players expect.

No PC release in sight

One important thing to note is that the GTA 6 release is only confirmed for Xbox and PlayStation and not PC. This means the Fall 2025 release will likely be for consoles unless there is a confirmation regarding the PC release.

GTA 5 was also released for console back in 2013 and only came to PC in 2015. Other Rockstar Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 also saw the same trend with console release in 2018 and PC release in 2019. What this means is that a PC player may very well see the game in 2026.
