Seven of the most popular gamers/content creators of India recently met with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss ways to further speed up growth of the Gaming Industry. This meeting also goes on to show much significance gaming escort now holds across the country.

These gamers talked about their experience in entering the gaming industry and how much it has grown in the past five years. They also lauded the government’s efforts in recognizing esports as a multisports event, while also discussing the issues revolving around gaming, like the difference between skill gaming and real money gaming.

After the meeting, all the gamers were also very impressed with PM Modi’s vision regarding the future of the Indian gaming and esports industry.

Meet the gamers -

The seven gamers include Naman “Mortal” Mathur, Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, Payal “Payal” Dhare, Tirth Mehta, Mithilesh “MythPat” Patankar, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, Anshu “GamerFleet” Bisht.

Mortal and Thug are two big faces and co-owners of Team SouL who became popular after PUBG Mobile was released in India, they were also among the first to go professional and popularize esports alongside others in India.

Payal or PayalGaming is another popular content creator for SouL and the biggest female gamer/content creator in India who has had a big hand in inspiring female gamers across India to start their journey be it gaming professionally or content creation in video games.

SkRossi is a professional Valorant player, in fact, he is considered the best Valorant player in India. He recently started his journey with Revenant Esports, prior to that, he played with Global Esports and secured multiple tournaments across India.

MythPat and GamerFleet are two popular content creators who delve into games like GTA, Minecraft and other similar cosy games to make the viewing experience as comfortable as possible for people who just want to have fun gaming.

Last, but not least, Tirth Mehta is a professional Hearthstone player and the first Olympic medallist in the esports category in India during the 2018 Asian Games. He is one of the reasons why we now have teams across multiple esports titles in the Olympics.
