Final struggle begins with BGIS 2024 Wildcard entry

The first two groups out of four have completed their Wildcard Entry runs at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024. Each group played three matches against other teams in their respective group in an attempt to secure as many points as possible.

Wildcard Entry is the final chance for 16 teams to make it into the semifinals. Both of the groups will play another set of matches after the remaining two groups complete their first set of matches, so performing best is the utmost priority for serious teams.

Overview

Day 1 for Group 1 saw Carnival Gaming and Rivalry Esports go toe to toe, while Group 2 saw NiY Esports soar ahead with Gujarat Tigers close behind. Overall, both groups saw the top teams keeping the pace and dominating in every match while a few others still struggling to grasp the ropes.

Match 1 saw Rivalry Esports take the initial lead with a commendable 20-point win, 7Shore Esports took the second match. The final match in the series was secured by Carnival Gaming, who also saw success in the first match. Combined, they managed to come out on top.

Secondly when the group started with Match 4 with NiY Esports securing the match. Followed by THW Esports in the second map, however, NiY still managed the second spot. Gujarat Tigers closed the day with a victory on the final map and secured the 4th spot on the overall leaderboard.
