It has been seen that several negative reviews have been piling up for Movie Games SA which is the Drug Dealer Simulator publisher. The company has finally addressed the causes surrounding the controversy with a direct message on their DDS 2 Steam page saying, “There is no lawsuit.”

The Movie Games SA are going through a rough patch with the rising negative comments on Steam. Owing to this, the company has said that they are investigating the Schedule I, under ‘potential infringement’ of their Simulator IP. This will also include the ‘elements of the game’s plot, mechanics, as well as UI.’ Tyler, the creator of Schedule I of TVGS said that they have not taken any legal action against Schedule I but are going forward with their investigation as it is a part of their ‘legal obligations.’

The gamers slammed Drug Dealer Simulator and DDS 2, pulling down their ratings and reviews. The reviews claimed that Movie Games SA were in the process of suing TVGS, even though the information has proved to be incorrect.

'Severe consequences for negligence'

The latest update on this states, “There is an investigation into the nature of similarities between the games since a preliminary legal analysis indicated there might have been an infringement. The analysis and investigation were necessary in the light of repeating opinions that the games are very similar. By not investigating it, Movie Games, being a publicly traded company, could face severe consequences for negligence.”

It has also been investigated that it was only Poland’s ESPI who shared this information, where it read, ‘we are obligated to publish such information for full transparency,’ post which it was the media channels who shared the news. The reviews are yet to be confirmed. The message dropped by the company was mostly to do damage control for the company.
