Phi “PhiDX” Lam, one of the well-known names in the Tekken esports scene, has signed with DSG as their first fighting game player. While he doesn’t have championship titles under his belt, the player has seen a relative boost in performance since last year.

Talking about his signing, Phis said, “The most exciting about DSG is that they want me to keep being myself, make content and compete. To bring as many people into Tekken and be support for that is really exciting for me.”

This move from DSG comes conveniently at a time when fighting games are witnessing rapid growth. 2024 alone is set to witness multiple events. It won’t be a big surprise if the organization decides to add a few more to their roster across various fighting games.

All of their previous announcement of players and roster signing at DSG have also been similar. DSG already have teams across other popular esports titles like Apex Legends, Valorant, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. However, they recently let go of three of their players from the Valorant line-up.

As for PhiDX, the player will be getting more chances to further enhance his skills as he will finally be able to break free from online and visit even more in-person events. Chipotle also comes in clutch for both DGS and PhiDX in this situation.

Chipotle recently announced a partnership with Tekken 8 that allows players to earn in-game currency. The company has also been involved in the fighting games community for some time now and has sponsored multiple events including Evo.
