The announcement on X saw a small clip where a one-eyed monster looking like a Spectator from the DnD series emerges from the dark before going back. The full reveal is set to be done on May 14, so everything during this time are speculations.

Releasing back in 2016, Dead by Daylight, during the time of its release, didn’t look like it would last long. However, the gameplay loop of 1 killer vs 4 survivors turned out fun and helped boost the popularity of the game over time.

Over the years, the game brought the sheer number of survivors and killers along with their unique perks and maps through collaborations and creation of their own. The goal as per the devs was to bring all fictional horror characters into their game.

Some of the most popular collabs include Chucky, Alien, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Texas Chainsaw, The Stranger Things and many more. The devs have also collaborated with other horror games, like Resident Evil and Alan Wake. The game boasts over 30 killers and 40 survivors.

Dungeons and Dragons on the other hand started as a tabletop game and evolved with popularity, featuring multiple super hit games like Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter and DnD online. The series does not have a shortage of eldritch horrors, and fans can’t wait to see the new killer.

Few fans left disappointed

A lot of fans have been requesting a crossover from other popular franchises like Friday the 13th, Five Night at Freddy’s, Predator, TMNT, IT series, and other popular franchises. However, these fans were once again disappointed to see the developers pick another random franchise.
