Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which is currently the most popular battle royale in India, may soon become even more enticing to play with the new 120 fps update that will be available on supported devices.

The developers of PUBG Mobile, Krafton have announced that the 3.2 version of the game will be received a huge update with more graphical options alongside the 120 frames update.

This comes as huge news even for gamers as mobile games will now also compete with consoles and PCs in terms of fps. With 120 fps support announced by PUBG Mobile, it’s only a matter of time before BGMI also gets the same treatment.

One important thing to note is that pumping 120 frames takes a lot of power, and players will likely be forced to put the graphic settings to the lowest. This is usually a no-go for single-player games, however, in multiplayer titles, especially competitive, low settings are the pro settings.

What devices are supported?

Flagship devices like the OnePlus 9, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and recent iPhone devices (Pro models and above) will most likely be able to run the game at 120 fps. However, players do need to keep in mind that Krafton will most likely try and bring the setting to all devices with a 120hz display.

For those who have never experienced games over 100 fps, it is a huge jump from 60 fps and is a completely different experience. There is a popular phrase ‘Frames win games’, which is a proven fact across the board. Mobile games are now featured in multi-million dollar esports tournaments across the globe. Having an option for better FPS will be huge for the players.

Gamers who are planning to get a new device are advised to hold out for a few months if possible. If any news regarding the 120 fps update on BGMI is released, they can then select the appropriate device as per the requirement.
