Shaurya “Savitar” Gupta, a professional BGMI player recently posted an Instagram status regarding non-payment of previous dues from an esports organization. Savitar is currently playing for Windgod Esports and also clarified that the matter isn’t regarding his current organization but a previous one he was part of.
Prior to Windgod Esports, Savitar has been a part of Numen Esports, 7Sea and Enigma. However, he has also played with other organisations like Team Forever, Indian Tigers and a few other small teams. Savitar revealed that it has been over a year and the only reason he did not talk about this is due to respect towards the organisation. However, he will not be quite moving forward.
“It's been almost a year since players have been asking them to clear the dues. Abhi tak salary taxes aur tournament ka winning price pool tak clear nahi hua. Was not posting anything against them just because of the respect we have for them, but it's high time and now people should know what the reality is,” he wrote.

Moving forward, there will likely be more controversy on this matter if the alleged organisation does not settle the matter. Savitar also mentioned that he would explain everything in detail and clear all doubts during an upcoming live stream.
Fans start speculating about the culprit organization
Currently, the fans have already started putting their speculations on who might be the culprit. Some are betting on 7 Seas while others have called out Numen Esports as the team spent most of their time playing for the organisation.
Regardless of which esports organisation is in the wrong, withholding salary and tournament winnings from players who are trying to give their best is a serious issue. Esports athletes in India usually have to sacrifice a lot in order to remain the best in this competitive market. Despite that, only a few are able to make a name for themselves due to the structure of the esports market.
