Angry Swan accumulated 36 points before being disqualified from BMPS 2024. As of Day 3 of Round 2, HeroXtreme Godlike was leading the table with 74 points.

In a major development in the world of ESports, Team Angry Swan has been disqualified from the IQOO Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024. The action comes after Swann was found to have violated the rules of the tournament.

Tournament organiser Krafton India ESports, in an official statement on Tuesday (September 9), confirmed that Angry Swan had breached rules 4.3 and 4.4 of the Official Competition Rulebook.

“During a round of our investigations, we have confirmed that ANGRY SWANS have violated iQOO BMPS 2024 rules 4.3 and 4.4 of the Official Competition Rulebook,” Krafton India ESports stated in an Instagram post.  

“Integrity and fairness are at the core of our competitions and we are dedicated to maintaining a fair and competitive environment for all participants,” it added.

What does Krafton India says in its rulebook?

In its Official Competition Rulebook, Krafton India ESports has clearly mentioned that if any team fails to follow the rules and regulations of the tournament, they will be ineligible to participate and forfeit the prizes, points and statistics earned.

“By participating in any tournament, you agree to these general rules and the competition-specific rules applicable to that tournament. If you do not accept these general rules and the applicable competition-specific rules and abide by them during your participation in the tournaments, you will not be eligible to participate in an official competition and will forfeit any prizing, qualification secured for other competitions, or points scored or status earned, including towards future competitions or qualification,” the rulebook states.

The second round of the third BMPS edition continues with 64 pro teams fighting for the staggering 2 crore prize pool. Angry Swan accumulated 36 points before being disqualified. As of Day 3 of Round 2, HeroXtreme Godlike was leading the table with 74 points.
