Amid controversial character changes fans praise Overwatch 2 makers for this 'wholesome' activity

The Overwatch 2 fans were delighted with the latest social media revelation about the uniqueness and realistic nature of the game. In a recent Reddit post on the OW2 forum, a fan revealed that the voice for the residential protector of Kanezhaka i.e. Kiriko’s fox uses real fox sounds. 

According to the report it uses the sounds of some rescued foxes which have been kept at a facility in Minnesota. They have been protected by a wildlife rehabilitation corporation named SaveAFox. As soon as the fact was unveiled the u/zeagurat community started celebrating the good work. 

In light of the recent controversy surrounding the changes to characters and the 20% DPS passive, Reddit user u/Incohesive_User pointed out Blizzard's dual nature. He described the company as both "wholesome" and villainous. 

They believe Blizzard is secretly doing good deeds while presenting themselves as villains to their fans. A recent example involves Overwatch 2's discovery that the sound of Kiriko's Kitsune fox features a real Finnegan fox.

He said, “Blizzard doing cool and wholesome things behind the scenes while masking themselves as villains to their fans should be studied.” 

What is the character controversy of OW2?

Blizzard's sound team visited the SaveAFox habitat to record these foxes overnight. Additionally, they donated to the facility as a gesture of appreciation for SaveAFox's outstanding work. This demonstrates Blizzard's behind-the-scenes efforts to support and contribute positively, even amidst criticism.

The criticism is about the latest updates in Season 9 of the game. The  OW2 mid-season updates have granted self-healing ability to almost every character making this much easier for players. This has led to a big controversy among the players as it equates all.
