There are thousands of shows available on Netflix, however, the company does not seem to be stopping anytime soon. Once again, the platform expands its library of movies and TV shows, including originals and some classics from Hollywood.

With a few already available at the start of 2024, the company has now announced a series of other shows that will be available soon. These include shows and movies across various genres, giving everyone plenty of choices to select from.

Here are the top 10 upcoming Netflix original releases that will be sure to keep everyone busy for some time:

10. The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More

Featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, this short live-action is based on stories by Roald Dahl. The 39-minute live-action by Wes Anderson won the best live-action short award at the Oscars. The new addition to the adaptation is coming to the platform on March 15.

9. Ronja the Robber's Daughter

The live-action adaption of the popular fantasy novel by Astrid Lindgren is set to release on Netflix on March 28. The animated version released back in 2014 was created by Studio Ghibli & Polygon Pictures and was very well received.

8. 3 Body Problem

Based on the Chinese novel The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin. The sci-fi series will explore the original plot of encountering an alien civilization with three stars orbiting each other.  The show is set to release on March 21.

7. Parasyte: The Grey

For Parasyte fans, no, this one is not the adaptation of the anime Parasyte: The Maxim with Shin'ichi Izumi. However, it is set in the same universe and explores another story after the Parasyte invasion. The first episode is set to air on April 5.

Based on the real-life events of the Kandahar flight hijack. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the series will tell the story how of 188 passengers stranded inside a plane for 7 days were rescued. The official air date for the series is yet to be announced.

5. Testament: The Story of Moses

Many have heard about Moses, one of the most popular prophets in Judaism. Netflix is now set to launch a mini historical docudrama series based on his story, set to release on March 27. Their previous miniseries, on Queen Cleopatra, gained a lot of criticism and controversies. Fans hope they do not repeat the same mistakes again.

4. Heart of the Hunter

Another live-action adaptation, Heart of the Hunter, is a spy thriller based on the book by Deon Meyer. It is a story about a retired assassin looking for his friend who is not kidnapped after discovering the dark secrets of the South African government. It is set to release on March 29.

3. Crooks

A German action-filled series featuring a retired gangster forced to steal a gold coin. However, the action causes a chain of events leading to gang wars across the country to get their hands on the coin. One look at the trailer will tell it's a brutal, action-packed series. The first episode is set to air on April 1.

Andrew Scott is widely popular for his dark persona on screen and will be starring in the upcoming psychological thriller. The series is based on Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley. The eight-episode series will premiere on April 4.

Another docuseries based on real cases handled by police officers across New York. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and will feature interviews of real detectives and offices handling the cases. With the release planned for March 20, the series will be followed by another one featuring cases from Los Angeles sometime this year.
