Not to forget, the actors from South Korea have a massive fan following from various parts of the world. 1. Parasyte: The Grey

The star cast of 'Parasyte: The Grey' is led by Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun. The series is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the Train to Busan director and the producer of The Bequeathed, which was released on Netflix early this year. This is a remake of a Japanese classic which also has a tinge of the Anime genre. Talking about the plot, 'Parasyte: The Grey' takes place in Korea, just as parasitic aliens rain down from the sky and take over human hosts.

2. Lovely Runner

The casting members consist of Kim Hye-yoon, Byeon Woo-Seok, Song Geon-hee, and Lee Seung-Hyun. The film is about a woman whose dreams of becoming a filmmaker were cut short after an accident that left her paralyzed. Now her only escape is the music of the idol Ryu Sun-jae (Byeon Woo-seok). The series is about time travel and the character has a choice of shaping her future.  

3. Blood Free

The star cast of 'Blood Free' is led by Ju Ji-hoon and Han Hyo-Joo. Blood Free is the latest project from writer Lee So-yeon, the mastermind behind both seasons of the hit K-drama Stranger. (Disney+, April 10). About the latest series, a biotechnology company has ushered in a new era thanks to its product BF (blood-free), an artificially cultured form of meat that has been dominating the market.

4. Under the Gun

Led by The Penthouse actress Jo Soo-min and Zuho of the K-pop outfit SF9, the pair has teamed up for Under the Gun. Zuho plays Go Gun, the son of a professional poker player who faces a difficult choice when his family’s honour is left in tatters. The only way he can see out of his predicament is by following his father’s footsteps and joining the Korean Poker League.

5. Missing Crown Prince

The series reminisces the Joseon Era (1392-1894) in Korea with the tale of Yi Geon, who becomes crown prince of the land after his father wrests control of the kingdom through a rebellion. The main leads are Suho and Hong Ye-ji in the series. The daring Myung-hoon will be portrayed by Hong Ye-ji, who recently headlined the series, Love Song for Illusion. (MBN, April 13)
