Chahal shared on Instagram that he wished he could have played in the SMAT final, but illness prevented him from participating.

Prior to his illness, Chahal played for Haryana in the group matches of SMAT and had been active in domestic cricket.

While Chahal hasn’t confirmed his return date, there is speculation he might play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy once he recovers.

Chahal previously played for Northamptonshire in England in county cricket and one-day tournaments, taking 12 wickets in three red-ball matches and achieving a five-wicket haul in one game, showcasing his strong performance.
