Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been in the news recently for his reported separation with wife Dhanashree Verma. The two got married in 2020, and their separation rumours came about after the two unfollowed each other on Instagram. Ever since the news has come, Chahal has been posting cryptic messages on social media.
On Tuesday, the 34-year-old posted on Instagram a quote by Socrates that read, “Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it from above all the noise." It isn’t clear who the message is aimed at, but there has been intense debate in the social media circle.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s marriage in trouble?
2025 started on the wrong note for Indian cricket fans after news of Yuzvendra Chahal’s reported separation came through. The 34-year-old tied the knot with Dhanshree Verma in December 2020, just four months after getting engaged. It is to be noted that Dhanashree is a noted dance and arts influencer and was also a dentist.
After nearly four years of marriage bliss, the pair decided to separate due to unknown reasons. The first instance was when Chahal removed all of his photos with Dhanashree from his social media handles. The two also don’t seem to be following each other on their social media handles.
Fans were left heartbroken ever since the news came through and are wishing the best for both parties. Dhanashree has often been spotted with Chahal during his IPL matches and also while playing for India. 34-year-old Yuzvendra Chahal will be seen playing for the Punjab Kings during the coming season of the IPL, having been released by the Rajasthan Royals.
The 34-year-old has played 72 ODI matches for India and picked 121 wickets with a best of 6/42, which is one of his two fifers. In the T20I format, Chahal has picked 96 wickets from 80 matches with a best of 6/25 against England in Bengaluru. Chahal became the first bowler to take 200 IPL winners and has a total of 205 scalps from 160 matches with a best of 5/40.
