Currently, Abhishek Sharma is a rising star and has become a batting sensation for Team India. During an interview, Sharma didn't forget to mention his idol Yuvraj Singh, a major influence, who helped him boost his career. During the last T20I game against England, he smashed a century at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai which was praised by everyone. He single-handedly took on the England bowling attack and smashed the ball across the stadium. For his knock, he got a Man of the Match award.
Abhishek Sharma also smashed the second-fastest half-century for India in the shortest format of the game which came from 17 balls. Before getting out to Adil Rashid he scored 135 runs from 54 balls. He hit 13 sixes and seven fours. As he broke many records he mentioned his idol Yuvraj Singh for shaping his career. Since being very young Yuvraj Singh was the only person who believed in him always.
"Yuvi Paaji was the first one who believed in me. It's all because of Yuvraj Paaji, the way he treated me and made me ready, he's always there for me. When someone like him tells you 'you're gonna play for India and win matches', it boosts your morale." When some like Yuvraj Singh say that you will play for India it boosts your confidence, he said during the post-match press conference.

"He has played a major role in my cricketing year. As I've told before also, it's all because of him because the way he has treated me in the past and every innings. He's someone who's always there for me, I always talk to him after every game. He's the one guy I've always listened to and I think he knows better than me so I believe that," he said.
