'Ye apna dimag kho chuka hai' - Fans show no mercy as Ramiz Raja compares Babar Azam with Viv Richards

Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja came in favor of Babar Azam and compared him to Viv Richards during an interview on YouTube.

Pakistan cricket team is going through a phase of transition as Babar Azam resigned from captaincy for the second time in white ball cricket. Babar has been going through a lean patch for a long time now, and he has faced much criticism regarding his performance.

After a series of failed results, he stepped down from the captaincy position. However, former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja came in favour of Babar and compared him to Viv Richards. While talking on his YouTube channel, Raja said that Babar is a talented batter and has a lot of potential in him. 

"I feel Babar has to achieve a lot more in Test cricket. He plays the white-ball format really well, has an average of 50-plus in both formats. There is so much potential in Babar Azam. Ab unko apne temperament se batana hai duniya mei ke woh ek Viv Richards hain. (Now he has to prove to the world with his temperament that he is Viv Richards)," said Ramiz Raja in his YouTube video. 

Babar Azam was dropped from the Test team as well against England for the 2nd and 3rd Test matches, which Pakistan won comfortably. Now, it will be extremely difficult for him to make a space in the team. 

Pakistan beat England in 3-match Test series

Pakistan went on to clinch the 3-match Test series against England, 2-1. After losing the first Test, their unexpected comeback in the 2nd and 3rd Test matches shocked the cricket community. However, some terrific batting and bowling performances by Sajid Khan and Noman Ali changed the game in their favour. 

Apart from that, England's dream of qualifying for the WTC 2025 finals is crushed. England's batters were disappointed in the last two games, which caused them to lose the match. The hosts played a safe game by making rank turners, which helped them get good results.
